Gabriel Coutinho From Working as a Bricklayer at 13 to Business Success

Gabriel Arthur Alex Coutinho, known for his determination and entrepreneurial spirit, has built an inspiring career that has taken him from humble beginnings to leading a successful business group. Born in 1995 in Bragança Paulista and raised in Vargem, in the interior of São Paulo, Gabriel grew up in a dirt-floor house, where the priority of his parents, a bricklayer and a teacher, was education and family values.

At the age of 13, while many teenagers were living only the joys of childhood, Gabriel began working as a bricklayer alongside his father. The goal was clear: to achieve financial independence and help his family achieve a better quality of life. The experience, marked by physical effort and discipline, became the basis of his entrepreneurial vision.

First Company and the First Challenges
With unwavering determination, Gabriel founded his first company, CONENG, in March 2016. The initial partnership promised to be promising, but soon revealed challenges. In December of the same year, he decided to separate from his partner due to differences in vision and management problems. This critical moment led him to open his own company, Coutinho Engenharia, marking the beginning of five years of proven growth.

Rebuilding a Bankrupt Company

At the end of this growth cycle, Gabriel took a bold step: to serve an HR company in serious financial and administrative crisis. Facing labor lawsuits, tax debts and a tarnished image in the market, he faced the challenge of completely rebuilding it with the goal of saving jobs and developing his expertise in the proven practice of how to transform “chaos into success.”

With seriousness, solid values and credibility, Gabriel managed to turn the company’s image around and prove that it was possible to start from scratch. The process involved reorganizing operations, reestablishing relationships of trust with clients and showing the market that ethics and excellence are non-negotiable pillars.

Under his leadership, Coutinho Gestão de Pessoas won important contracts with companies such as our main client to this day, Barry Callebaut, among others such as Bauducco, Multilaser and JSL, consolidating its position in the market. Even with the difficulties that arose along the way, Gabriel demonstrated that resilience, planning and credibility can transform adversity into opportunities.

In January 2022, Gabriel founded *Coutinho Gestão de Pessoas*, a milestone in his career that symbolizes his ability to reinvent himself and lead in times of crisis.

From Construction Site to Business Leadership

Gabriel’s journey is marked by learning and achievements. At the age of 18, he was already leading teams of professionals and was responsible for a construction company (MCJ Construtora) that built houses for the “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” plan. Even facing layoffs and returning to work as a bricklayer in difficult times, he never lost sight of his dream of growth.

In addition to founding *Coutinho Engenharia, he diversified his activities by investing in other areas such as Human Resources, Dentistry, with the creation of *Odonto Coutinho*, and in social projects, such as *Espaço Singular*, with the aim of developing children with neurological disorders, and he develops this exemplary project with his mother.

International Turnaround and Harvard Education

In 2024, Gabriel decided to temporarily step away from his companies to do an exchange program in Canada and the United States. For five months, he improved his English and prepared to enroll in a business course at the prestigious Harvard University, seeking to expand his knowledge and strengthen his presence in the global market, which he concluded with yet another achievement and victory.

Inspiration for Entrepreneurs

Today, at 29 years old, Gabriel leads companies that generate approximately R$30 million in annual revenue and employ around a thousand people in Minas Gerais and São Paulo. His trajectory proves that, with hard work, courage and a long-term vision, it is possible to overcome challenges and turn dreams into reality.

“My story is an example that success is not a destination, but a journey. Never give up, because the best is yet to come”, says Gabriel, whose life is a source of motivation for all who seek to overcome adversity and build a legacy of impact. In 2025, Gabriel will further expand his horizons by transforming his entire proven journey of prosperity into the market for lectures and sales of digital products, as he believes that by sharing his knowledge he will multiply a successful youth.
