During his first concert in Montreux, the paisa singer performed his best-known songs at the historic Stravinsky Auditorium
The triumph at the Montreux Jazz Festival, one of the most important in the world of music, is reserved for a few and Maluma today became one of the members of this Olympus of the show with a vibrant concert.
The Colombian interpreter thus joined a list that already includes renowned voices such as Bob Dylan, Nina Simone or Camarón de la Isla.
Maluma is crowned king of Latin music at the Montreux Jazz Festival in his first concert. The paisa artist performed his best-known songs at the historic Stravinski Auditorium.
The Colombian, one of the most popular reggaeton and contemporary Latin music singers, made the audience – mostly female – dance with his worldwide hits.
The night started strong with “Coco Loco”, the latest single by the Colombian artist, with which he turned the public on.

“Good evening, I’m Juan Luis Londoño Arias, better known as Maluma, baby,” the artist introduced himself to an audience devoted to the energy of the 29-year-old interpreter, who later chained his best-known songs.
The ballad “Hawái” was chanted by all the spectators, a response from the public that moved the artist, and after which came a demand from the Spanish.

“For me it had always been a dream to come sing here, at this important festival, and the most beautiful thing is that I have come to do it and sing in Spanish. What I always dreamed of,” he said to applause.
“Corazón”, “11 PM”, “HP”, various medleys of lesser-known songs, “Hola Señorita”, “Felices Los 4” and “La Fórmula”, followed.
“Let’s take advantage of this heat that we hope will last,” he said before calling all the flags that colored the auditorium.
So, the artist took off his jacket and left his tattoos on the air to face the last part of the concert with “Sobrio”, “Borro Cassette”, “Vente Pa’acá”, “Blackmail”, “Mala mía” and the famous “4 Babies”.
Today’s recital has been the last milestone of the “Don Juan World Tour”, which has already landed successfully in several Spanish cities and which will move to the United States after a brief stint in Italy and Poland.
In the access rows to the concert, practically all Spanish accents could be heard.
The Latin American population is large in Switzerland, a country where Maluma is a regular in nightclubs.
“We come to dance,” said some of the artist’s admirers with a laugh, before his performance.
