LATAM traffic grew 12.9% in September

In the ninth month of the year, the airline’s international traffic increased a notable 42.3% compared to the same month in 2022


The LATAM Group’s traffic continues its upward trend and grew by 12.9% in September, as revealed by the company through a press release. The airline transported 6.3 million passengers that month and grew especially in its international traffic, which increased by 42.3% in the same month compared to September 2022, while domestic traffic in Chile increased by 12.8 % and in Brazil, 4.1%.

Likewise, in the first nine months of this year, the total number of passengers transported by the airline grew by 18.8% compared to the same period in 2022, and was 58.8 million.

“Operations, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), grew 16.4% compared to September 2022, and during the first nine months of 2023, capacity increased 22.8% compared to the same period in 2022. above, mainly explained by a greater supply of capacity in the international segment,” adds LATAM.

Regarding cargo operations, the group increased its capacity measured in available tons-kilometers (ATK) by 10.8% compared to September of the previous year and reached 5,545 million available tons-kilometers.

LATAM is resuming a good part of its international routes and recently stated that it seeks to enhance the reach of its alliance with Delta.
